The National Board of Accountants and Auditors invites applications for admission into its Professional Diploma in Internal Auditing (PDIA) course for its 1^st Intake.

The PDIA intends to acquaint, learners with an in-depth knowledge, hands skills and practical competencies on internal audit standards, professional frameworks and requirements, planning and execution of audit assignments and effective communication with the management and those charged with governance.

Targeted learners:

• Internal audit staff at all levels who are involved in the auditing of public and private entities;
• Trainers wishing to acquire advanced knowledge of internal auditing;
• Consultants dealing with internal auditing and financial reporting;
• Any interested person with the internal auditing standards

Entry Qualifications:

The course will be offered in two (2) levels namely PDIA level 1 and PDIA level 2 and the entry qualifications are as follows: -

• PDIA Level 1

Holder of Bachelor Degrees (any) or its equivalent, Any Professionals qualification recognized by relevant professional body.

• PDIA Level 2
• Holder of PDIA Level 1 Statement of success i.e. a Candidate who successfully passed PDIA Level 1 examinations.

Mode of Study:

The course is offered in virtual (online) classes, two days per week on Tuesday and Thursday. Classes start from 5.00 p.m to 7.00 p.m (2hrs).

Duration of the Course:

The course will be conducted for the duration of 4 months for each Level. Classes will begin on Tuesday 15^th October, 2024.

Examination Structure:

Examination will be in a competence-based approach where a candidate will be required to sit for a single paper after completing the normal course work of PDIA.There will be two (2) examination sessions (February and August) per annum for each level.

Examinations Centers:

All examinations will be conducted physically in the following regions:

• Dodoma
• Dar es Salaam
